Omnipure
Omnipure is a small size, low maintenance electrochemical treatment plant specially designed for easy and fast installation, which has the following advantages:
- It does not generate sludge.
- It is not affected by chemical cleaning products in bathrooms and kitchens.
- It does not require the use of chlorine, this is self-generated by the treatment plant
.
- It does not use bacteria or chemicals.
- It does not generate odors, methane or sulfur dioxide gas.
- Small size, up to 10 times smaller than a biological plant.
- The plant is extremely compact, so it is especially
suitable for installation in confined spaces.
- Easy handling, the plant is operated through a control screen.
Process
The Mariner Omnipure treatment unit has been specifically designed for the treatment of sewage (black and grey) in naval vessels and ships. This unit can be mounted on walls and walls, requiring a minimum of available space.
This treatment plant consists of a main treatment unit, a dechlorinator and a transformer, all of which can be mounted on walls. The treatment unit has been certified by Bureau Veritas (BV) for the latest IMO recommendation MEPC 159 (55) and has DGTM and MM approval certificates for installation in Chilean territory.
It is recommended to size the plant based on hydraulic capacity and daily treatment BOD, not on number of people. STDN recommends considering 90% of nominal capacity as effective treatment capacity
.
This treatment plant has a stable and continuous treatment rate, and its treatment capacity contemplates 24-hour operation. If the facility has generators that must be shut down, a dedicated power source must be incorporated or otherwise its actual treatment capacity must be calculated based on the hours of power availability
.
Description of the process
Omnipure treatment units process wastewater supported by an Adaptive Algorithm for Wastewater Management (AAWM), which facilitates the management of incoming water with variable conditions, a common situation in floating and offshore facilities. Based on compliance with the criteria established in MEPC159 (55), each Omnipure treatment unit is factory configured to treat standard wastewater of 500 mg/l of suspended solids and BOD, to finally discharge in compliance with the emission requirements established by MEPC159 (55).
For proper operation of the plant, the manufacturer recommends a salinity of more than 15,000 ppm and a seawater temperature of more than 7°C. The Mariner Omnipure unit incorporates a self-maintenance system that considerably increases the time between preventive maintenance. The Omnipure units incorporate an automatic dechlorination system, controlled by the central treatment unit.
Each treatment plant includes:
- Mariner SERIES 55 treatment unit.
- Omnipure dechlorination unit.
- Treatment system main transformer.
- Control panel with touch screen.
