ClorTec®: Advanced Electrochlorination Technology
ClorTec® DN systems are based on brine electrochlorination technology. These systems offer simple operation and maintenance, as well as unmatched performance and safety advantages in chlorine generation. Using three common consumables: water, salt and energy, ClorTec® DN systems generate sodium hypochlorite.

Simplicity and ease of operation
"Combines salt and water in the brine storage tank to produce a saturated solution.
"The saturated brine solution is pumped through the brine pump and mixed with softened water to create a 2.2% brine solution, which is fed to the ClorTec® electrolyzer. Brine and water flow rates are kept constant and stable.
"The brine solution passes through ClorTec® electrolytic cells containing NORA DSA® electrodes and generates a consistent and guaranteed 0.8% hypochlorite solution by applying DC electric current.
"Process parameters, such as flow, temperature and electricity in the electrolytic cell, are continuously monitored by the PLC to ensure reliable and efficient operation of the system.
"The only byproduct generated by the ClorTec® system is hydrogen, which is vented from each cell and diluted with air to reduce its concentration to 25% of the LEL before being released to the atmosphere.
"The ClorTec® DN electrode/cell design allows fast and effective removal of each cell due to the short electrode height and baffles in the cell. This design avoids the increase in hydrogen bubble size, reduces the amount of hydrogen on the electrode surface and minimizes blinding of the electrode surface, which avoids fluctuations in solution concentration and chlorine production.
"The horizontal configuration of the cells allows maintaining a low temperature without the need to add recirculation piping.
"After passing through the cell, the sodium hypochlorite flows into the product tanks. The temperature of the hypochlorite is monitored as it leaves the system.
"The system is controlled by a PLC and features an easy-to-operate HMI display.
